Welcome to favspot.guru ("the Platform"), an independent, curated digital atlas celebrating Bengaluru's authentic food, heritage, and neighborhood culture. By accessing or using favspot.guru, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Nature of the Directory
All recommendations, timings, highlights, and dietary markers (Veg/Non-Veg) provided on this atlas are compiled from firsthand community visits and publicly verifiable information. While we strive for absolute accuracy, operational hours, menu items, and pricing at independent establishments may change without notice. Visitors are advised to verify timings directly with venues before traveling.
2. Community Submissions & Conduct
When submitting a spot via our "Suggest a Hidden Gem" tool or voting on listings:
- You agree to provide honest, bona fide information about real places within the Greater Bengaluru metropolitan area.
- Promotional spam, self-aggrandizing commercial listings, abusive content, or defamatory commentary will be removed without notice.
- We retain editorial discretion over all spots featured on the official atlas.
3. Intellectual Property
The custom design, 3D tactile interface elements, brand name, curated editorial copy, and Kannada typography assets are the intellectual property of favspot.guru. Third-party trademarks, restaurant names, and logos belong to their respective owners.
4. Limitation of Liability
favspot.guru is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind. Under no circumstances shall the platform or its creators be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or travel-related damages arising from visiting listed venues.
5. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of the use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

1. Client-Side Local Storage

2. Information Collected During Submissions
If you submit a place via the suggestion form, we collect the submitted venue details (name, neighborhood, category, and highlight). If you provide your contact details for follow-up or verification, we use them solely to authenticate the recommendation.
3. Payment & Transaction Information
Payments made on favspot.guru are handled directly by our authorized payment aggregator, PayU Payments Private Limited (PayU India). We do not collect, process, or store your UPI PIN, banking passwords, or card credentials on our servers. All transactions adhere strictly to RBI payment aggregator guidelines and PCI-DSS compliance standards.
4. Analytics & Cookies
We do not use invasive third-party cross-site advertising cookies. We only monitor basic aggregated server traffic logs for security, abuse prevention, and infrastructure reliability.
Refund & Cancellation Policy

Thank you for supporting favspot.guru and our independent ad-free platform. Please review our refund guidelines below:
1. Digital Sponsorships & Contributions
Community Patron contributions (₹99) and "Spotlight a Gem" sponsorships (₹499) are digital purchases that fund server operations and ad-free city curation. Because digital benefits and featured placements are activated immediately upon confirmation, payments are generally non-refundable once processed.
2. Erroneous, Duplicate, or Failed Transactions
We are committed to fair and transparent billing. You are eligible for a 100% full refund under the following circumstances:
- You were billed multiple times for the same contribution due to a network glitch, timeout, or double-click.
- Your account was debited via UPI, but the transaction was not acknowledged by the platform.
- Unauthorized transactions reported promptly.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email our support team at vinaygv72@gmail.com (or support@favspot.guru) within 7 days of the transaction date. Please include:
- Your registered name and email address.
- Payment reference ID / Bank UTR number / PayU transaction ID / Bank Reference.
- A brief description of the issue or screenshot of the deduction.
4. Refund Processing Timeline
Once verified, approved refunds are initiated within 2 business days and will reflect back in your original source account (UPI / Bank Account) within 5 to 7 business days, in compliance with banking and NPCI turnaround standards.
